Mary - The Pigeon Who Never Gave Up
Had great fun returning to the Quirk crew for the second year running. This time more orchestral arrangements, alongside 1980s montage rock, 1940s Jazz...and fart sounds.
Swings and Roundabouts - Tour
I worked on the R&D in 2021 for this comedy musical that unpacks the Swings and Roundabouts of the first year of parenthood. It's now out on a full tour and it's been a blast working with the team again arranging, composing and sound designing. https://www.sophie-ross.co.uk/
Rhia and the Tree of Lights - Composing
It was great to make some new connections with the wonderful guys at Quirk Theatre, based in Devon. I got to really stretch some musical chops for some extended musical sequences, and explore the idioms of Indian music. https://www.quirktheatre.co.uk/rhia
Swings and Roundabouts - R&D
Loving working with Sophie Ross (writer/performer), Emma Edwards (director/writer), Amelia Bird (designer) and Sarah Shephard (producer) on this brand new show looking at the challenges of early parenthood. The show is now continuing development after the R&D in March 2021.

CONCRETE DISCO ALBUM
Excited to release the second full length album from my live electronic trio Concrete Disco and to celebrate with a launch party and at Zigfrid von Underbelly in Hoxton. The album brings original vocals to the fore, whilst lyrically grappling with the modern experience - from fake news, isolationism and selfie culture; to identity, justice and inequity. https://concretedisco.bandcamp.com/
DIARY OF A HOUNSLOW GIRL - AUDIBLE BOOK
Pleased to have revisited this work by Ambreen Razia, (which I first worked on in its theatrical incarnation) as it is released as an Audible book. Still engaging and visceral material to work with, exploring the struggle of a young muslim woman in Hounslow dealing with the pressures of conflicting cultures. https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/The-Diary-of-a-Hounslow-Girl-Audiobook/B07KWCCZFK
I am excited to be working on the soundtrack to a short film written and directed by Kathryn O'Reilly, who also plays one of the two main roles. It's a 90's throwback comedy short and great fun to write for. I just received the footage to work with today so gonna get stuck in this week!
